The Story
How it all began?
DeLitter came to fruition in 2017 when Thomas Moulton was walking through a wooded trail in Spotsylvania, Virginia, and stumbled upon a polluted stream. Disgusted, he went back home and gathered up supplies to clean up the stream. After cleaning it up he realized that there are more polluted places in the world that need to be cleaned up. This realization sparked the desire to create DeLitter.
How it's going?
Since then, we’ve been growing our reach through informative articles and engaging campaigns, fostering a more environmentally aware public. We’re advocating for stricter regulations and finding our voice in the world of environmental policy. Clean-up events have brought communities together to tackle pollution firsthand, inspiring individuals to take action in their own lives. While we’re still a young organization, DeLitter’s impact is building. Together, we’re making a difference, one step at a time.
